Bloggers World


Today I have a slightly different post. A cool and good news for me personally. Where do I start ? At the beginning ....

A couple of months ago I received an email from Lubka. She mentioned a calendar in which she would like to include me. Ummm ... what? Bloggers receive a lot of emails and often it turns out that it wasn’t sent by an honest person with honest intentions. I had no clue what was going on but agreed regardless =). Over time, I realized it’s all real ... I'm really going to be on a calendar ! ! Lubka is a nice girl from Bulgaria, living and working in London. Her passion is graphic design. She also writes a blog and got the idea to make a calendar in which she could present 12 bloggers from around the world. And my silly face is a part of that!! Me? How the hell is this possible ? ? That's why I like blogging, because you may become part of such fun things and you never know what is going to happen next. I am grateful that she chose me as well and I really don’t regret this. Calendars can be purchased online, no matter in which country you live. I wish she will create many beautiful things and that her passion for creating never dies. I love people who have ideas and make them real. I always take that as an inspiration and an example to which I want to follow.

Her words about this project


The Idea

The idea came to me long time ago, but needed a lot of preparation to even get it started. Since I’ve become a blogger, I’ve learnt a lot about blogging - how to be consistent when writing, how to be brave when sharing ideas,  and how to be honest with my readers - but most of all… how to keep my head up even when I’m feeling down. I find myself reading so many other blogs in search of cooking ideas, fashion trends, inspirational thoughts, good causes, catching up with news from real people rather than from the media, etc, etc. Many of those bloggers are people I haven’t met in person yet, but they already feel like close friends, and keep me going when I experience some troubles. Seeing how other people cope during their times of trouble, whilst still managing to carry on, encourages me that I can do it too!

With these thoughts in mind, I’ve decided to share this inspiration with as many people as I can. I believe that through blogging we all learn a lot about ourselves, but we also help others, and there are no geographical borders to stop us. We all can make the world a better place!


The Creation

First, I had to find the right people to inspire you. It took me a couple of months of searching. I read lots of blogs, followed new posts, read stories about how and why they had started blogging, how it changed their lives and what achievements they had been sharing.

I found the exact number of 12 people who I’d like to introduce to you. They are people from more than 10 different countries around the world, who despite their different cultures and areas, share their success, experience, journeys and aspirations with extreme honesty and passion.
In the last 2 months we have exchanged numerous messages, emails and conversations, working on the content for this calendar. Between us, we’ve approved images, sketches, templates and text. I’ve designed the calendar along very clean and modern lines, so that you can enjoy the beauty of the photos, and discover the essence about each person within its pages.


The Final Result

After a long wait, it’s finally in front of me - a beautiful work of 14 stylish pages, full of colourful images and stories, printed on luxury paper, with a silky touch. 14 pages dedicated to the oncoming 2014, during which you’ll meet 12 inspirational people.

An initial pack of calendars is printed, but to spread the word and the inspirational stories around the world, I'll need to print some more copies. You can help by donating as little as £1 or buying a copy from the colander for you or as a Christmas gift for someone who you want to inspire.

Danes imam malce drugačno objavo. Zame osebno veselo in lepo novico. Kje naj začnem? Na začetku….

Par mesecev nazaj sem od Lubke prejela email.  Omenjala je nek koledar v katerega bi rada vključila tudi mene. Ummm…kaj? Blogerji dobimo veliko emailov in velikokrat se izkaže, da za emailom ne stoji iskrena oseba z iskrenimi nameni. Nič mi ni bilo jasno ampak sem bila vseeno za =). Čez čas se je pokazalo, da vse drži… res bom na koledarju!!!! Lubka je prijazna punca iz Bolgarije, ki zadnja leta živi in dela v Londonu. Njena strast je grafično oblikovanje. Tudi sama piše blog in dobila je idejo, da bi naredila koledar, na katerem bi predstavila 12 blogerk iz celega sveta. In med njimi sem tudi JAZ!! Jaz? Moj trapast obraz? Kako hudiča je to možno?? Prav zato mi je všeč bloganje, ker zaradi njega lahko postaneš del takšnih zabavnih stvari in nikoli ne veš, kaj vse se bo še zgodilo. Lubki sem hvaležna, da je izbrala tudi mene in res mi ni žal, da sem sodelovala z njo. Koledarje lahko kupite preko spleta, ne glede na to, v kateri državi živite. Želim si, da bi ji uspelo, da bi ustvarila še veliko lepega in da bi jo njena strast do ustvarjanja vedno gnala naprej. Najraje imam ljudi, ki se jim utrne ideja in jo tudi izpeljejo. Sama to vedno vzamem kot navdih in vzgled, ki mu hočem slediti.

Lubkine besede o projektu


Ideja

Zamisel sem dobila že zdavnaj, vendar je bilo potrebno veliko priprav, preden sem jo lahko realizirala. Odkar sem postala bloggerka, sem se veliko naučila o blogganju - kako biti dosledna pri pisanju, kako biti pogumna, kadar z bralci delim ideje, kako biti poštena do svojih bralcev - predvsem pa ... kako ohraniti  glavo gor, tudi takrat, ko gre počutje navzdol.

Velikokrat prebiram druge bloge, pa naj gre za iskanje idej za kuhanje, sledenje modnim trendom, iskanje inspiracijskih misli, dobrodelnih akcij, novic, ki jih napišejo resnični ljudje namesto medijev, itd, itd. Večino od teh blogerjev nisem nikoli spoznala osebno, vendar jih vseeno čutim blizu, kot prave prijatelje, ki me porinejo naprej, kadar sem zaradi nečesa na tleh. Ko vidim, kako se drugi ljudje spopadejo s težavami in grejo naprej, me to spodbudi in da občutek, da to zmorem tudi sama!

S temi mislimi sem se odločila, da delim ta navdih, s čim večjim številom ljudi. Verjamem, da se z blogganjem veliko naučimo o nas samih, hkrati pa pomagamo tudi drugim, tu ne obstajajo geografske meje, ki bi nas ustavile. Vsi lahko prispevamo k izboljšanju sveta!


Oblikovanje

Najprej sem morala najti prave ljudi, ki bi vas navdihnili. Potrebovala sem nekaj mesecev, da sem jih našla. Prebrala sem veliko blogov, sledila novim objavam, brala zgodbe o razlogih za začetek pisanja bloga, kako jim je to spremenilo življenje in kaj so zaradi tega dosegli.

Našla sem 12 ljudi, ki bi vam jih rada predstavila. To so ljudje iz več kot 10 različnih držav po vsem svetu, ki kljub različnim kulturam in območjih delijo uspehe, izkušnje in želje z izjemno iskrenostjo in strastjo.

V zadnjih 2 mesecih smo si izmenjale veliko elektronske pošte glede vsebine koledarja. Dogovarjale smo se o odobritvi slik, skic, predlogov in besedila. Odločila sem za čiste in moderne linije, da boste lahko uživali v lepoti fotografij ter  odkrili bistvo vsake blogerke.

Končni rezultat

Po dolgem času je končno pred mano - 14 elegantnih strani, polnih barvitih podob in zgodb, natisnjenih na luksuznem papirju. 14 strani, namenjenih prihajajočemu letu 2014, na katerih boste spoznali 12 navdihujočih ljudi.

Outrageous chocolate cookies / Cokoladni piškoti


Currently , while I’m typing this, I sit on a glass coffee table, because we’re having such chaos in our apartment that I have no other options. Truffle and I decided we'd paint walls white and do a small renovation. Hallelujah, because I felt like I will suffocate because of all the excess junk. I hope soon I will be able to breathe again =). Keeping things organized and color white mean a lot to me, and because we live in a very small apartment, I need it even more, because that makes apartment seem bigger, more spacious, fresh. Is there a fan of white among you? Usually people don’t like it too much if everything is white, it seems to them too sterile and hospital like. It depends on what are the details like, I love a space that is welcoming, homely, soft … so clinics style really doesn’t attract me =).

I don’t have conditions for cooking and photography at the moment, but I do have quite a few photos of the dishes that I have already prepared some time ago, so no fear, I have material for new posts =)! These cookies are in fact even better than they look. I've done it already 2x. First time I used  dark chocolate (these in the photos), and secondly I used milk chocolate (I like this chocolate more). The point of these cookies is that they are soft. If you want them to be crunchy, bake them a few more minutes longer.

The recipe


Ingredients:
8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks, or equal amount of semisweet chocolate chips

The process
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Heat 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second increments, stirring between each, until almost melted. Make sure not to over melt the chocolate, melt it just enough to mix. Or melt chocolate in a bowl above boiling water.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla on high speed really well, until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; beat in melted chocolate (remember, the melted chocolate should not be too runny). Mix in flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks (or chocolate chips). If your batter is too runny (due to over melting the chocolate in step 1), let the batter stand for some time to get hard.

Drop tablespoons (or less) of dough onto cold baking sheets 2 inches apart (not hot or warm baking sheets that have been sitting underneath your pre-heated oven). Bake cookies for 12 minutes. Do not overcook the cookies, the texture should still be soft, that of a brownie, when you take them out of the oven. If you overcook them, they will be too hard. Do not bake them to a crisp, they are supposed to be soft.

Cool on baking sheets 10 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.


Trenutno, ko to tipkam, sedim na stekleni kavni mizici, ker je v stanovanju tak kaos, da nimam drugih opcij. S Tartufijem sva se odločila, da bova prebelila stene in naredila manjšo renovacijo. Aleluja, ker sem se že na pol dušila zaradi vse odvečne krame. Upam, da bom kmalu lahko spet dihala=). Red in belina mi zelo veliko pomenita in ker živiva v zelo majhnem stanovanju, ju potrebujem še toliko bolj, saj naredita vse večje, bolj prostorno, sveže. Je kakšen ljubitelj beline med vami? Ponavadi ljudem ni preveč všeč, če je vse belo, zdi se jim preveč sterilno, bolnišniško. Odvisno kakšni so detajli, všeč mi je prostor, ki je prijeten, domač, ki deluje mehko … torej stil klinik me res ne privlači=). 

Pogojev za kuhanje in fotografiranje ta trenutek sicer nimam, imam pa kar nekaj fotografij jedi, ki sem jih že nekaj časa nazaj pripravila, tako da, brez strahu, imam material za objave! Tile piškoti so v resnici še boljši kot izgledajo. Naredila sem jih že 2x. Prvič s temno čokolado (tile na fotografijah), drugič pa z mlečno. Meni so itak ljubši z mlečno. Poanta teh piškotov je v tem, da so mehki. Če želite imeti hrustljave, jih pecite par minutk dlje.

Recept iz: Julia's Album

Recept


Sestavine:
250g čokoladni solzic ali čokolade narezane na koščke
4 žlice nesoljenega masla
83g večnamenske moke (ali več, če je masa preveč tekoča)
1/2 žličke pecilnega praška
1/4 žličke soli
2 veliki jajci
150g sladkorja (rjavega, ali po želji drugega)
1 žlička vanilijevega ekstrakta
340g čokolade v koščkih ali čokoladnih solzic

Postopek
Pečico segrejemo na 180 stopinj. 250g čokoladnih solzic in maslo stopimo v mikrovalovni pečici, v 20 -sekundnih korakih, vsakič, ko jo vzamete ven premešajte, dokler ni skoraj cela čokolada stopljena. Čokolada ne sme biti popolnoma stopljena. Namesto v mikrovalovni pečici jo lahko stopite v posodi nad vrelo vodo. 
V drugi skledi zmešajte skupaj moko, pecilni prašek in sol.

Z mikserjem stepite jajca, sladkor in vaniljo na visoki hitrosti, do puhastega. Zmanjšajte hitrost na najnižjo, dodajte stopljeno čokolado (ne pozabite ,stopljena čokolada ne bi smela biti preveč stopljena). Dodajte mešanico z moke in miksajte, dokler niso vse sestavine dobro premešane. Dodajte koščke čokolade (ali čokoladnih solzic).

Na pekač položite peki papir in z žlico nanesite maso (pekač mora biti ohlajen. Napolnite cel pekač in ga postavite v hladilnik za par min), par cm narazen, ker se med peko masa razleze. Piškote pečemo 12 minut. Piškoti morajo biti mehki, ne hrustljavi.

Piškote pustite 10 min, da se ohladijo.

(Pri teh piškotih je zelo pomembno ali uporabite čokoladne solzice/navadno čokolado, ki ste jo narezali na koščke, prav tako je pomembno ali je čokolada temna ali mlečna in koliko ste čokolado stopili. Zaradi teh razlogov lahko piškoti vsakič izpadejo drugače. Najprej specite samo en piškot, za test. Če se bo piškot čisto razlezel, da bo ploščat, kot palačinka-potem taka masa ni v redu in raje dodajte več moke).

White chocolate and Nutella truffles / Nutellini tartufi z belo čokolado


December will be sweet. I can’t resist to all the cute, sweet and enticing recipes. My list of December's posts  is sooooo long! I will not hesitate or limit myself. I’m almost bouncing of the floor, because I am so excited for all that baking, melting chocolate, turning on the mixer, peeking into the oven, those first bites and joy when you see that it turned our P E R F E C T L Y! Ooo happy month of December! We will be losing body weight in January, right? =)

Bite in these Truffles feels as if you’ve been hit by chocolate. Soft, rich and you immediately hit the point of all this. What is the point? When you say: ''Mmmmmm.''

The recipe


Ingredients
300g chocolate
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup Nutella
2 cups white chocolate/ chocolate chips
1 tablespoon oil (I used vegetable)
chocolate sprinkles (optional)

The process
In a double boiler (or a glass bowl set over simmering water) melt together the first four ingredients. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. If you leave the mixture in the refrigerator for longer than 2 hours, it will likely become too firm to work with. So just allow it to soften at room temperature until you can.
Use a melon baller or spoon to form small balls. I powder my hands and spoon with cocoa, so the mixture is easier to work with and doesn't stick to everything. Once you have all the truffles formed, place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.

In the mean time, melt the white chocolate and oil in a microwave safe bowl. I will microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir, and repeat until the chocolate is melted. Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate to coat it, then place on a sheet of wax paper.

Add  sprinkles, before the white chocolate has time to set. Let these set over night or pop them in the refrigerator for 40 minutes. 

December bo sladek. Ne morem se upreti vsem prisrčnim, sladkim in vabljivim receptom. Moj seznam decembrskih objav je takoooo dolg! Ne bom se zadrževala ali omejevala.  Kar odbija me od tal, ker se tako veselim vse peke, topljenja čokolade, prižiganja mikserja, kukanja v pečico, tistih prvih ugrizov in veselja, ko vidiš, da ti je U S P E L O! Ooo, veseli mesec december! Hujšali bomo pa januarja, velja? =)

Ugriz v tele tartufe se čuti kot, da bi vas zadela čokolada. Mehko, bogato in takoj smo pri bistvu. Kaj pa je bistvo? Ko rečeš: ‘’Mmmmmm’’.

Recept iz: A beautiful mess

Recept


Sestavine
300g čokolade
1 žlica masla
60g sladke smetane
100g Nutelle
300g bele čokolade
1 žlica olja
čokoladne mrvice za okrasitev ( neobvezno)

Postopek
V posodi nad vrelo vodo kupaj stopite prve štiri sestavine. Odstranite z ognja in pustite, da se ohladi. Pokritje in postavite v hladilnik za 2 uri. 
Iz hladilnika vzamite prej stopljeno čokolado, uporabite pripomoček, ki je namenjen za izdolbenje kroglic iz melone ali pa navadno žlico in med rokami oblikujte kroglice (jaz ga nisem imela in sem uporabila kar navadno čajno žlico). Roke si posujte s kakavom v prahu zato, da se čokolada ne prime preveč na roke. Ko imate vse tartufe oblikovane, jih postavite v zamrzovalnik za 5-10 minut.

V vmesnem času stopite belo čokolado. Tartufe potopite v belo čokolado in jih postavite na peki papir.

Po želji okrasite tartufe z mrvicami, še preden se bela čokolada strdi. Postavite jih v hladilnik za 40 minut.

Pomegranate Chocolate / Cokolada z granatnim jabolkom


This week I was chatting and drinking black tea, chatting and enjoying in natural orange juice and chocolate cake. It was nice. Good conversations make me happy. Conversation where you are heard, respected, where you know you can share your personal thoughts.

When I think of autumn fruits, I don’t think only of  apples and pumpkins, persimmon, mushrooms, chestnuts, olives, walnuts but also pomegranate. It's full of antioxidants and for me personally, interesting refreshment among those standard autumn apples, mandarins ... Unfortunately, I make a huge mess in the kitchen when I eat it. BUT! Somewhere I saw a video on how to get to seeds without stress. Photos demonstrate it perfectly. In a bowl, pour water, cut pomegranate into quarters, pull apart seeds under water, drain and attack it with a spoon =).

This recipe to me at the beginning seemed a little silly, nothing special. Whoo, I was wrong! I eliminated ginger and salt from original recipe. This is one fresh chocolate. Sweet, fresh, fruity, chocolatey. I was not disappointed.

The recipe


Ingredients
10 oz. bittersweet chocolate (60% cacao), broken into 1-inch pieces
1 cup fresh pomegranate seeds (from 1 large pomegranate)

The process
Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or waxed paper.
Put the chocolate in a wide, shallow, microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high until it just starts to melt, about 1 minute. Stir with a spatula until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, heating in additional 15-second increments if necessary.
Gently stir half of the pomegranate seeds into the chocolate.
Scrape the chocolate mixture onto the baking sheet and spread it into an 8×10-inch rectangle.
Sprinkle the remaining pomegranate seeds evenly over the top, pressing them into the chocolate.
Refrigerate until fully set, about 30 minutes.
Break the bark into chunks with your hands (be careful not to crush the seeds), and serve. The bark will keep, refrigerated, for up to 5 days.


Ta teden sem čvekala ob črnem čaju, čvekala ob naravnem pomarančnem soku in čokoladni torti. Bilo je lepo. Dobri pogovori me osrečijo. Pogovor, kjer si slišan, upoštevan, kjer veš, da lahko deliš osebne misli. 

Ko pomislim na jesenske plodove, je med jabolki, bučami, kakiji, gobami, kostanjem, olivami, orehi tudi granatno jabolko. Polno je antioksidantov in meni osebno zanimiva popestritev med standardnimi  jesenskimi jabolki, mandarinami… Je pa cela packarija v kuhinji, ko se spravim nanj. AMPAK!! Nekje sem videla video o tem, kako priti do semen brez packarije. Na fotkah je vse jasno. V skledo nalijte vodo, granatno jabolko narežite na četrtine, pod vodo izluščite vsa semena, precedite in napadite z žlico =). 

Tale recept se mi je na začetku zdel malo smešen, pač nič posebnega. Uuuuu, kako sem se motila! Iz originalnega recepta sem izločila ingver in sol. To je ena taka sveža čokolada. Sladko, sveže, sadno, čokoladno. Nisem bila razočarana.

Sestavine
300g čokolade
1 granatno jabolko

Postopek
Na pekač položite peki papir.
Nad vrelo vodo stopite čokolado.
Nežno vmešajte polovico semen granatnega jabolka v čokolado.
Čokolado prenesite na peki papir.
Potresite drugo polovico semen na vrh čokolade in jih z žlico pritisnite v čokolado.
Za približno 30 minut položite v hladilnik, oz dokler se ne strdi
V hladilniku zdrži največ 5 dni.
