Comfort food: Rice noodles with chicken / Rizevi rezanci s piscancem





I  l o v e   this!! And this is for me comfort food. In fact, it's not that unhealthy. I could label it as healthy recipe. I always order this when I'm in Chinese restaurant, good thing I live close to one so when I have a  moment of crisis, rice noodles are always near. Pasta in any form is pure joy for me. Uh , carbohydrates can REALLY put you in a good mood.
I am currently reading a book by author Elizabeth Gilbert: Eat, pray, love ... you probably heard about this book a few years ago. Amazing  woman! She took time for herself (female with balls!!) and went on a trip for one year, in three countries: Italy, India and Indonesia. First, she went to Italy and oh Mary , Mary.... oh it's all about pasta, bread, ice cream, pizza ... there! it's really pure pleasure. That would be a dream for me! I know, I'm sure I would look like a donut after one month.. but hey .... if I was already there, I would not  give up my passions! I would work on weight loss in Slovenia ;).



Ingredients

  • Rice noodles / Asian noodles
  • Canned sprouts
  • Paprika
  • Chicken
  • Canned baby corn
  • Bamboo
  • Peanut oil
  • Soy Sauce
  • Onion
  • Sesame


The process
Fry onion, chicken and pepper, add corn, sprouts, sesame, bamboo, season with salt, add the peanut oil, soy sauce. Rice noodles are basically not cooked but we just soak them in boiling water for as long as it says on the packaging. Mix all together and voilà!


Tole absolutno obožujem in zame je to hrana za dušo. Pa saj v bistvu niti ni tako nezdrava. Lahko bi jo umestila tudi med zdrave recepte. V kitajski restavraciji vedno planem po temu, še dobro, da živim blizu ene, da imam v trenutku krize riževe rezance vedno blizu. Testenine v kakršnikoli obliki so zame čisto veselje. Uh res je, ogljikovi hidrati nas RES spravljajo v dobro voljo. 
Trenutno berem knjigo avtorice Elizabeth Gilbert: Jej, moli, ljubi... verjetno jo poznate. Super ženska, ki si je vzela čas ZASE (ženska z jajci!!) in šla za eno leto po svetu, v tri države: Italijo, Indijo in Indonezijo. Najprej je šla v Italijo in oh Marija....vse se vrti okoli testenin, kruha, sladoleda, pice... to je res čisti užitek. To bi bilo zame sanjsko! Vem, prepričana sem, da bi se razvlekla kot krof po kakšnem mesecu..ampak....hej, če bi bila že tam, se ne bi odrekala svojim strastem! Hujšala bi, ko bi se vrnila v Slovenijo ;).

Postopek
Čebulo, piščanca, papriko popečemo, dodamo koruzo, kalčke, bambus, sezam, solimo, dodamo arašidovo olje, sojino omako. Riževi rezanci se ne kuhajo ampak samo namakajo v vreli vodi toliko časa, kot piše na embalaži. Zmešamo vse skupaj in voilà!

Healthy recipe: Spinach salad / Solata s spinaco


Yesterday was a totally shitty day. Rainy, sour, I was lazy, nothing happened .. ugh, just pure  emptiness. But I am okay today. The day started with a drink in the city with my friend. We chatted like crazy! And that was enough for me to feel energetic again. Sometimes all you need, is one normal and honest conversation and a pitcher of lemonade that costs 2,60 eur =). This was followed by a search of perfume Chanel No. 5 for his special lady. Mmmm, I was quite tempted to buy one for myself. No! I can not! Oh no! We hugged  and  went in opposite directions. I finally went to the library. Before that, back home to pick a list of books that I wanted to take. Ahhh, the library is such a cool place. And I like people that are in there walking among the shelves. I don't know, I'm probably  wrong but according to my logic, people who read, are good people =).

And oh, because I was such a  good girl already, I decided to be an even better girl and go for a run. The positive side of  running  on a  Friday evening is that there is not a lot of people  outside. The negative side is that those who are outside, are mostly boys, ready to go out partying and to get drunk. Oh yeah, as soon as I see them I already know which way things will go. No, it's not an honor to hear them bark at me, shouting, and saying inappropriate things about my ass. Also the negative thing  is that I'm scared as hell, plus  it's cold and  it would be more enjoyable to do something else on a Friday night ... but ... if I let excuses prevail, I won't  get anywhere, right? If I continue to do the same things, nothing will change. It's not easy to be in shape and to get rid of a few kg. Therefore, this is worth the effort. Every thing that is worth a lot, requires effort. What I want to achieve, requires discipline, sweat, sometimes tears, pain, running in the dark, cold ... but I'm doing this for myself, for that feeling of pride when I finish. Well, today is International Women's Day. What does this mean to you? For me, this means that the woman does something for herself, that she nourishes her femininity, that she is independent, a best friend to herself, that she is sensual, and cares for her health, happiness, well-being .. Therefore, satisfied with herself. And this is why I run. For the woman in me! =)

Today I have for you a simple recipe for a salad. I eat a lot of salads lately, especially for dinner. I Absolutely can't eat just lettuce, I always add other things: chicken / avocado / bean / potato / eggs ..... But I found that the basil is a really great addition to any salad, mmm it immediately takes me to the sea.

Včeraj je bil totalno posran dan. Deževno, kislo, nič se mi ni dalo, nič se ni zgodilo..uff, sama praznina. Ampak danes sem spet okej. Dan se je začel z drinkom v mestu, s prijateljem. Klepetala sva kot zmešana! In to je bilo dovolj, da sem se spet počutila energično. Včasih je vse kar potrebuješ, en normalen in iskren pogovor ob vrču limonade, ki stane 2, 60 eur =).  Temu je sledilo iskanje parfuma Chanel no 5 za njegovo drago. Mmmm, me je kar premamilo, da bi si še sama kakšnega kupila. Ne! Ne smem! Oh ne! Objem in že sva šla vsak v svojo smer. Jaz sem končno šla v knjižnico. Pred tem pa domov po seznam knjig, ki sem jih želela vzeti. Ah, knjižnica je tako cool prostor. In všeč so mi ljudje, ki se tam sprehajajo med policami. Ne vem, saj verjetno se motim ampak po moji logiki, so ljudje, ki berejo v redu ljudje =).

In oh, ker sem bila že tako pridna, sem se odločila to pridnost še potencirati in odšla na tek. Pozitivna plat tega, da tečeš v petek zvečer je, da je bolj malo ljudi zunaj. Negativna plat je, da tisti, ki so zunaj, so večinoma skupine mularije, še posebno fantov, ki se odpravljajo žurat, pit. Oh ja, takoj vem, v katero smer bodo šle stvari, ko bom šla mimo. Ne, ni mi v čast biti deležna tega, da lajajo, se derejo, me ogovarjajo in govorijo neprimerne stvari o moji riti. Negativno je tudi to, da me je strah kot hudič, da je mrzlo, da se mi ne da, da bi bilo bolj prijetno početi kaj drugega na petkov večer...ampak...če bom pustila, da izgovori prevladajo, ne bom nikamor prišla, kajne? Če bom še naprej počela enake stvari, se ne bo nič spremenilo. Ni lahko biti v formi in se znebiti par kg. Zato je pa to veliko vredno. Vsaka stvar, ki je veliko vredna zahteva trud. Kar želim doseči, zahteva disciplino, znoj, včasih tudi solze, bolečino, tek tudi v temi, mrazu... ampak to delam zase, za občutek ponosa, ko odtečem svoje. No, danes je Dan žena. Kaj to za vas pomeni? Zame pomeni to, da ženska samo sebe uresniči, da naredi kaj zase, da neguje svojo ženskost, da je samostojna, sama sebi najboljša prijateljica, da je senzualna, da skrbi za svoje zdravje, srečo, dobro počutje ..zato, da je zadovoljna sama s sabo. Zato tečem. Za žensko v sebi! =)

Danes imam za vas preprost recept za solato. Veliko jih pojem zadnje čase, predvsem za večerjo. Absolutno ne morem jesti samo solate, vedno dam noter kaj konkretnega: piščančje meso / avokado/ fižol/ krompir / jajca..... Sem pa ugotovila, da je bazilika res super dodatek k vsaki solati, mmm takoj me odpelje na morje.

Healthy recipe: Fruity Smoothies / Sadni smoothiji

I just returned from the first of this year's run! Oh yes, it was cold and yes, it was a little harder because I am so full of fat and lazy because of winter..oh that winter .. but (!) .... It was right that I did this...that I finally activated myself. I started, I broke the ice and what motivates me the most when I breathe like  a freak when I run, is good music and  that picture in my head .... an image of a body  that I want to achieve and energy level, stamina that I lack! It is time for a change!  Also on this blog! From now on, all recipes will be grouped into 3 categories (I am obsessed with organizing, it is no wonder that I have to organize here too). So 3 categories:
  1. First Category: healthy recipes
  2. Second Category: romantic recipes (chocolate baby!! What is more romantic than chocolate ... NOTHING! Other non-chocolate desserts will be in the 3rd category)
  3. Third Category: comfort food/food for the soul (recipes that are neither healthy, not romantic, we like it, it makes us feel good and I don't know why you wouldn't eat it now and then, I cannot live without it, I would rather die)
Let's start at the beginning, so with breakfast. Smoothies, I find them the ideal start of the day. Either way it's best to eat fruit in the first half of the day, why not check  fruit off the list first thing  in the morning. It's not good to eat every day the same thing, so please don't be boring and  change your  breakfast routine after a couple of days or every day. My favorite breakfasts are healthy smoothies, quinoa with fruit (click on that, I posted the recipe  in October), fruit-muesli bars ( posted on November), plain oatmeal with fruit and nuts ... I plan however,  exploring in some other healthy options and I will publish it. You can of course use whatever liquid you prefer for the smoothies. I  don't like cow's milk, so I recently tested different types of plant milk and came to the conclusion that I don't care what type it is, as long  it's made out of some plant. I add ginger  almost every time because it is a super healthy thing =).

Ravno sem se vrnila iz prvega letošnjega teka! O ja, bilo je mrzlo in ja, bilo je malo težje, ker sem cela zamaščena in zlenuhana od zime ..ampak (!) .... Bilo je prav, da sem se končno aktivirala. Začela sem, prebila sem led in tisto, kar me najbolj motivira, ko sopiham kot čudakinja, je muska in tista slika v glavi....slika telesa, ki ga želim doseči in nivo energije, kondicije, ki mi tako zelo manjkaaaa! Čas je za spremembe! Tudi na blogu! Od sedaj naprej bom vse recepte razvrstila v 3 kategorije (obsedena sem z organiziranjem, ni čudno, da si moram še tukaj dati duška). Torej 3 kategorije:
  1.  kategorija: zdravi recepti
  2.  kategorija: romantični recepti ( čokolada baby! Kaj je bolj romantičnega od čokolade... NIČ! ostale  ne-čokoladne sladice bodo v 3. kategoriji)
  3.  kategorija: hrana za dušo (torej hrana, ki ni ne zdrava, ne romantična, nam pa paše in ne vem zakaj si občasno ne bi privoščili tudi tega, ne morem živeti brez tega, raje kar takoj zaključim s teptanjem trave na temu svetu)
Začnimo na začetku, torej z zajtrkom. Smoothiji se mi zdijo idealen začetek dneva. Tako ali tako je najboljše, da sadje uživamo v prvi polovici dneva, zakaj ne bi to odkljukali takoj zjutraj. Sicer ni dobro, če vsak dan jeste eno in isto, zato prosim, ne bodite dolgočasni in zamenjajte svojo zajtrkovalno rutino. Moji najljubši zdravi zajtrki so smoothiji, kvinoja s sadjem (kliknite gor, recept sem objavila oktobra), ploščice s semeni, oreščki in sadjem (objavljeno novembra), navadni ovseni kosmiči s sadjem in oreščki... Planiram pa, da bom raziskala še kakšne druge zdrave opcije in jih objavila. Za tekočino seveda uporabite kar vam je ljubše. sama ne maram kravjega mleka, tako, da sem zadnje čase testirala različne vrste rastlinskih in prišla do zaključka, da mi je precej vseeno katere vrste je, samo da je rastlinsko. Skoraj vedno pa dodam ingver, ker je super zdrava stvarca =).
